Toby Keith wants to go “out on the road” this fall due to a stomach cancer tumor that has decreased by one-third.

Toby Keith, the celebrated crooner best known for his classic “Should’ve Been a Cowboy,” has some good news for his devoted fans.

The 62-year-old musician recently complained about his stomach cancer fight, admitting he was diagnosed a year ago. Despite his health problems, Keith is optimistic about his chances of returning to the stage soon.

During an opulent dinner, right before his widely anticipated Toby Keith & Friends Golf Tournament, the country music legend shared, “I’m feeling quite robust,” exuding positivity as he addressed the audience.

“By and large,” he said of his growth, “there’s a strong and affirmative trajectory in every aspect.” Keith said of his cancer experience, “The unpredictability of this situation teaches you to be ready for anything.”

With his unwavering spirit and a desire to give his fans fantastic shows, Keith hopes to start traveling again toward the end of the year.

“My stamina has notably improved,” he said with conviction, adding, “I’m even contemplating orchestrating a musical rendezvous with the band, spanning a couple of days, with the sole purpose of gauging my capacity to sustain a two-hour performance.”

Keith emphasized that if he is successful in this achievement, he plans to take the road this autumn. Further outlining his goals, he stated, “Following that, we will resume our endeavors.”

The only criterion is my capacity to go through several work-filled nights and then enjoy a slight reprieve from the ongoing chemotherapy regimen.”

According to The Oklahoman, the chubby musician, who is still undergoing chemotherapy to treat stomach cancer, revealed that in addition to a noticeable improvement in his general health, his blood tests have shown significant progress, and his tumor’s size has decreased by about a third.

Keith told the reporters, “Approximately eight weeks remain until my next diagnostic scan.” “I anticipate further tumor shrinkage in the upcoming examination,” he speculated, “having only identified one instance thus far.”

Keith also revealed his current engagement with a nutritionist, the incorporation of immunotherapy into his treatment routine, and his medical regimen.

Keith has opted to share details about his health journey on only two occasions since his cancer diagnosis. During an interview with CMT Hot 20 Countdown, the voice behind the chart-topping “Red Solo Cup” expressed a similar desire to return to touring.

He reflected on his plans and revealed, “I’m looking for a brief interlude to recharge and recuperate.” Navigating this struggle can be profoundly draining, but with the certainty that the approach is playing out as planned, we can anticipate a positive twist in the story.”

Keith frankly reported his stomach cancer diagnosis in the fall of 2021 via an Instagram post in June of the previous year. “The last six months have been dedicated to enduring chemotherapy, radiation, and surgical intervention,” he explained.

So far, the development has been good, and I’m looking forward to a period of rest, healing, and renewal.” He also stated his eagerness to spend quality time with his family while reconnecting with his loyal supporters.

In his final words, he exuded confidence, saying, “I’m charged up and ready for the rendezvous.” -T.”
