On Monday morning, cleaning staff at the Oak Tree Inn in Encino were faced with an unfortunate scenario when they discovered that Stephen “tWitch” Boss, an executive producer for Ellen DeGeneres’ show, had booked into room 249 and committed suicide. According to Rakesh, the hotel manager, Mr. Boss entered his room around 10:30 am and was never seen alive again after that.
Stephen “tWitch” Boss was a seasoned producer and well-known talent in the entertainment industry at the age of forty. He has worked with The Ellen DeGeneres Show since 2014 before becoming an executive producer in 2018; he has also appeared as a guest and performed on the show numerous times. His passing came as a surprise to many fans and colleagues who valued his work in the field of media production.
Many people are left wondering what could have prompted such a tragic act by such a beloved individual. Investigations are currently continuing to learn more about this incident and bring comfort to those affected by Stephen “tWitch” Boss’ unexpected death.
When the maid arrived to check on the room at 11:15 am on Tuesday, she was overcome with anxiety as she noticed no one was present, but their possessions had been left inside. The restroom was covered with blood spatter, much to her surprise.
It had never happened previously at this specific business, so she quickly dialed 911. Soon later, police and paramedics arrived on the scene and pronounced him dead. They were requested to check his pulse after additional inspection by the operator, but there was no indication of life.
Rakesh, who prefers to be addressed only by his first name, speculated that the gunfire must have occurred on Monday because it is located on a busy street filled with the hustle and bustle noises that may have generated enough cover for such a sound not to be noticed by visitors or even employees. He further recalled that Boss called on Monday morning at roughly 9:20 am wondering if any rooms were still available before walking over from his residence looking “quite normal” and “calm.”
Rakesh knocked on the motel room door, and when no one answered, he went inside with the maid, who unlocked it. His stuff remained in the room as if he had arrived a day before.
The manager then informed them of what had happened: Boss had shot himself in the restroom, as confirmed by another employee. The workers characterized the situation as “terrible,” with one employee remarking on how he shot himself in the head yet made no sound.
The man had gone home without his automobile on Monday, and when he hadn’t returned by Tuesday evening, his wife reported him missing to authorities.
On Wednesday morning, family members of Boss rushed to comfort his mourning spouse and their children at their six-bedroom home in Encino. According to a witness on the scene, the family preferred not to remark on the unfortunate event.
Stephen, the So You Think You Can Dancing candidate, and Alison, his dance instructor wife of nine years, have three children: Zaia, three years old; Maddox Laurel, six; and Weslie Renae, fourteen years old, who was adopted by Stephen when she was born. In November of last year, they celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary by sharing a touching video of them dancing to commemorate the event.
Weslie has been enthusiastically preparing for her future, as seen by the sign on their front lawn stating her plans to attend Notre Dame University with the class of 2026. She has already made a name for herself in the community as a model and influencer for brands such as Dick’s Sporting Goods while participating in numerous activities such as soccer for her school’s team.
Stephen has also worked on Ellen’s show since 2014, eventually rising to the position of executive producer this year. Unfortunately, he died soon after, casting a shadow over his family’s bright future hopes.
