He said he was hopeful about the future and thought everything would work out well if everything went as planned. Even though he knows that his condition makes it hard for him to move around, he is working hard to improve.
He said he needed rest and recovery to get his health back on track. Keith announced his illness in June and postponed all events to ensure he received proper care.
He has made a few special appearances, including one in November at Jeff Ruby’s Steakhouse in Lexington, Kentucky, where he performed “I Love This Bar” and “Sweet Home Alabama” by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Earlier this week, he took to Instagram to post an image of a young cancer patient with his fans and urged them to donate to the @tkfoundation1 in support of the OK Kids Korral.
The program gives families with children who have cancer a place to go on vacation away from their complex treatments. On Sunday, country music singer Toby Keith said he has been dealing with stomach cancer for six months.
