It’s not just Candace Cameron Bure. Many celebrities have chosen to leave Los Angeles in recent years, and there’s a good reason for it. The former Full House actress recently opened up to Fox News Digital about her decision to move her family away from the City of Angels, citing safety concerns as the primary motivation.
In an interview, Bure admitted, “We didn’t feel safe anymore. And that was the biggest reason that we moved.” The 48-year-old actress and mother of three adult children revealed that living in Los Angeles without the security of gated premises raised concerns about the safety of her family.
Over the past few years, Bure and her family had experienced unsettling incidents, such as people trespassing on their property, taking unauthorized photos, and even approaching their door. “It’s amazing what people feel they can do,” she said. “And wanting to be a part of your life in some way. Some of it is innocent, some of it wasn’t. But it’s quite unnerving when you’re just trying to be a person and live life, and you don’t know what’s around the corner.”
To address the curiosity of her followers, Bure took to Instagram to explain their decision. She shared, “Yes, the Bure family had moved from Los Angeles. ‘Why?’ Mostly for security reasons. Also, family dynamics have changed. The kids don’t live in Los Angeles anymore. Mama will go where they go! I travel a lot. The seasons of life.” While she didn’t disclose their new location, she emphasized that they are still in California but have moved to a different part of the state.
It’s completely understandable that Bure and her family would prioritize their safety and privacy by choosing to relocate. Dealing with so-called fans invading their privacy at their private residence can be extremely distressing. Bure’s decision serves as a reminder that celebrities are entitled to their personal space and security, just like anyone else.
