Mel Gibson’s Surprising Perspective on the LA Wildfires Stirs Reactions

Actor Mel Gibson has shared his thoughts on the Los Angeles wildfires, leaving many people perplexed.

The star, known for his role in Mad Max, saw his £12 million Malibu home destroyed by the fires. This tragedy spurred him to voice theories that have sparked significant debate.

“I can dream up countless unsettling ideas—conspiracy theories and more—but it was just a bit too coincidental that there wasn’t any water,” Gibson noted.

“The wind seemed perfectly set, and there appeared to be people well-prepared to start fires,” he continued, hinting that perhaps these fires were “commissioned” to clear valuable real estate.

In light of reports on a suspect’s arrest connected to one of the fires, Gibson mused whether this individual might have acted independently or if there was more at play.

“These people they are apprehending seem to be quite well-equipped,” commented Gibson in an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News’ The Ingraham Angle.

“There have been instances where water reserves were released for various reasons,” Gibson continued.

“California has numerous challenges that often perplex even the sharpest minds regarding their decision-making.”

“In these circumstances, you start wondering—is it intentional?”

“Sounds crazy, doesn’t it? Yet, one starts to question whether there might be an underlying purpose. What could it be? Do they want the state empty? I can’t say,” he pondered aloud.

“Still, these individuals they’re capturing look really well-equipped.”

His statements have indeed stirred up controversy.

Online, reactions poured in, such as one user who remarked, “His conspiracy theories are all he has now. While Californians battle fires, he’s busy fanning flames of his own.” Another remarked, “Shameful.”

Laura Ingraham noted there’s been discussion about high-density housing in the fire-affected territories. Gibson compared this scenario to “old cattle barons pushing people off the land.”
