A devastating loss for Harry and William - With heavy hearts, we announce the passing…

During the challenging 1990s, Lord Fellowes faithfully served as the private secretary to the late Queen, supporting her through various trials. It was a period marked by the divorce of Princess Diana and then-Prince Charles, the end of Fergie and Prince Andrew’s marriage, and the dissolution of Princess Anne’s marriage to Mark Phillips.

In 1992, Lord Fellowes played a key role in managing the crisis involving the fire at Windsor Castle, which unfortunately destroyed 115 rooms. His dedication and leadership were invaluable during such a trying time.

Tragically, Lord Fellowes held his position when his sister-in-law, Princess Diana, passed away in a car crash in Paris. Alongside Princess Diana, her partner Dodi Fayed, her driver Henri Paul, and her bodyguard Trevor Rees-Jones were also victims of the accident. Lord Fellowes faced allegations made by Mohamed Al Fayed, Dodi’s father and owner of Harrods, who claimed that he was involved in a conspiracy to murder the couple. However, Lord Fellowes strongly refuted these allegations.

On July 29, Lord Fellowes passed away due to undisclosed causes, as revealed in his obituary published in The Times. Charles Spencer, Lady Di’s brother, paid tribute to his brother-in-law on social media, describing him as an exceptional person with a great sense of humor, wisdom, and integrity. He expressed deep pride in being Lord Fellowes’ brother-in-law.

Lord Fellowes’ father, Sir William “Billy” Fellowes, served as the land agent at the Royal Family’s Sandringham Estate for 30 years. Interestingly, Sandringham Estate was also the place of Lord Fellowes’ birth, making it a truly special location for their family.

Late Queen Elizabeth herself once remarked, “Robert is the only one of my private secretaries I have held in my arms,” further highlighting the close bond they shared, as reported in The Times.

In recognition of his dedicated service, Lord Fellowes was honored with the title of Baron Fellowes of Shotesham in the County of Norfolk. He leaves behind an enduring legacy within the British Royal Family.

Let us remember and celebrate the life of Lord Robert Fellowes, a cherished figure who dedicated himself to serving the Crown and supporting his loved ones. May he rest in peace.
