Adam Sandler Is Too Tired To Write His Speech So His Daughters Write It And They Nail It

Adam Sandler is a name that instantly brings a smile. Remembering the countless comedies he has graced over the years often brings laughter all over again.

While Sandler is celebrated for his sharp comedic skills, a significant part of his appeal is his undeniable humor. Not only does he shine in comedic roles, but he has also charmed audiences as the romantic lead alongside some of the most stunning actresses of our time.

Beyond the screen, Adam Sandler is a romantic in real life too. He has been happily married to his wife Jackie for nearly two decades, marking many years of love even before their union.

Jackie Sandler has her roots in the entertainment industry, initially as a model before venturing into acting. Their marriage in 2003 has blessed them with two wonderful daughters, who seem to have inherited their father’s comedic flair.

At the 2022 Gotham Awards, Sandler delivered a speech with a wonderful twist. His daughters, Sadie and Sunny, who were in their early teenage years at the time, penned his acceptance speech, showcasing their talent and humor.

Sandler’s speech at the 32nd Annual Gotham Awards was met with roars of laughter. He candidly admitted that, being too weary to write it himself, he enlisted the help of his daughters.

He began humorously, “Dear well-dressed dignitaries, highly educated hipsters, and various other plus-ones of the Gotham Awards. Thank you for giving our daddy, Mr. Adam Sandler, this prestigious lifetime, all-time, primetime G.O.A.T. achievement tribute award. Or whatever this frankly disturbing object is supposed to represent.”

The speech continued in a light-hearted manner: “While daddy is with you tonight, we’re doing everything we’re not allowed to do when daddy is home, like eat his Yodels or try on his Spanx or, dare we say, laugh out loud at Ben Stiller movies. The last time daddy caught us chuckling away at the ‘Meet the Parents’ trilogy, he immediately stormed into the room he calls ‘The Screaming Room,’ which we just call ‘the shower,’ and bellowed out the phrase, ‘Only the Sandman makes people laugh. F––k every other comedian.’”
