Brittany Mahomes shares terrifying ordeal after 8-month-old son’s emergency room visit

Brittany Mahomes, the wife of NFL great Patrick Mahomes, recently opened up about bringing their 8-month-old child, Patrick ‘Bronze’ Mahomes III, to the emergency hospital.

The visit was due to the discovery that their son is highly allergic to peanuts. Brittany said it was a traumatizing experience and the scariest 30 minutes of their lives.

She shared an update on social media and a photo of baby Bronze drinking from a bottle, sharing the news of his peanut allergy.
Baby Bronze, born on November 28, 2022, is the second child of Brittany and Patrick Mahomes. They also have a daughter named Sterling Sky, who is two and a half years old.

In another post, Brittany shared an adorable photo of her son sleeping, cuddled up against her with a finger in his mouth. She mentioned that he needed extra snuggles that night due to a new tooth coming in. The bond between mother and son during such a challenging time is heartwarming

Interestingly, Bronze isn’t the only family member with a peanut allergy. In an interview with Men’s Health in 2021, Patrick Mahomes revealed his allergies, including a sensitivity to nuts and grass. However, he can still play on natural turf at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium.

Food allergies are a common concern, affecting millions of people. According to the Food Allergy Research & Education organization, over 33 million Americans live with a food allergy, and more than six million are allergic to peanuts to varying degrees, with children being particularly vulnerable.

Peanut allergies can cause severe reactions, including anaphylaxis, which requires immediate treatment with epinephrine and emergency room visits. Symptoms can range from an itchy mouth and rash to difficulty breathing, swelling, wheezing, dizziness, weak pulse, pale or bluish skin, and significant swelling of the lips or tongue.

We are relieved to know that Baby Bronze is safe and sound. Allergies can be a significant concern, especially for young children, but they can be managed effectively with proper care and awareness.

Please share this article with your family and friends on Facebook to spread awareness about food allergies and support the Mahomes family during this challenging time.
