John Wines, a guitar teacher from Dorset, has made waves on America’s Got Talent and secured a spot in the highly anticipated live shows. In a bid to inspire one of his nervous students, the 59-year-old teacher at The Bourne Academy in Bournemouth decided to audition for the popular talent show.
“I’m absolutely overjoyed! I never thought I would have this incredible opportunity,” beamed Wines. “I’m doing things now that I could never have even dreamed of before.”
During his original audition, Wines delivered a stunning performance of the iconic Queen anthem, “We Will Rock You.” His electrifying rendition caught the attention of Simon Cowell and the other judges, solidifying his place in the next stage of the competition.
Up next is the live shows, set to take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Tuesday, August 22nd. As Wines gears up for this next chapter, fans all around the world eagerly await his thrilling performance.
Wines discovered the America’s Got Talent application by chance during a conversation with one of his students, Maya. Recognizing her struggle with pre-concert jitters, Wines wanted to show her that even teachers get nervous sometimes. He decided to face his own fears and take the leap.
“I put myself in her shoes and decided it was time to confront my own anxieties,” Wines shared.
Despite nearly missing his audition invitation, which had accidentally landed in his email’s junk folder, Wines fortunately found it just in the nick of time. Now, he is ready to give it his all in the live shows and make his mark on the world stage.
This remarkable journey serves as an inspiration to not only Wines’ students but to everyone who dares to pursue their passion. Follow Wines’ progress on America’s Got Talent and continue to cheer for this extraordinary guitar teacher from Dorset.
