Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup by Jean
Here’s a delicious and simple chicken noodle soup recipe. The ginger adds a unique flavor to this soup! Enjoy!
Ingredients
2 cans chicken broth (14 oz.)
2 c. water
3 sliced carrots
3 celery stalks, chopped
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 fresh ginger root slices
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
12 cups cooked chicken breast meat, chopped
A dozen egg noodles
Allow the broth, water, carrots, celery, and ground black pepper to simmer in a large pot over medium heat. Combine the ginger, oil, and chicken in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. After about 5 minutes, remove the sliced ginger and set aside.
Bring the chicken broth mixture to a boil before adding the egg noodles. Cook for 15 minutes over medium heat or until the noodles and vegetables are cooked.
