Interestingly, Cameron described finding many “California refugees” now calling Tennessee their home. “It’s shocking how many Californians are here,” he exclaimed, adding with humor, “when I meet them at the grocery store, I say, ‘Don’t California our Tennessee.’”
Much like his sister, Candace Cameron Bure, Cameron chose to leave California for reasons related to safety and security. He believes that despite the influx of former Californians, Tennessee retains its charm with “good wholesome values” and, of course, its “good whiskey,” making it the kind of place people want to settle in.
