New details have emerged about the final moments of Days of Our Lives star Robert Kelker-Kelly.

First responders were called to the actor’s Missouri home Saturday night after receiving a report that an adult man was in cardiac arrest.

Kelker-Kelly was reportedly unconscious and not breathing when police arrived at the home at around 8:16 p.m., according to TMZ.

Authorities said there was nothing suspicious found at the home, and there were no immediate signs suggesting foul play.

An official cause of death has not yet been released. The circumstances surrounding his medical emergency remain under investigation as officials await additional information.

Kelker-Kelly became a familiar face to daytime television viewers during a career that included major roles on Another World, Days of Our Lives and General Hospital. He later stepped away from acting and pursued another passion: aviation.

Robert Kelker-Kelly’s Early Life

Kelker-Kelly was born on April 18, 1964. He grew up largely in Kansas and became interested in performing when he was young.

While attending Wichita Collegiate School, he appeared in school productions of musicals including Guys and Dolls, Camelot and Oliver!.

His interest in acting eventually led him to daytime television, where he would spend years playing some memorable soap opera characters.

His Big Break on Another World

Kelker-Kelly began his professional soap opera career in 1987 when he landed the role of Sam Fowler on NBC’s Another World. He originated the character and remained with the series until 1990.

It was the beginning of a long connection to daytime television.

Several years later, Kelker-Kelly returned to Another World, but instead of reprising Sam, he took on an entirely different role. Beginning in 1996, he played Shane Roberts, also known as Bobby Reno, and remained with the soap until 1998.

Taking Over as Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives

Kelker-Kelly landed his best-known role in 1992 when he joined Days of Our Lives as Bo Brady.

Taking over the part was no small challenge. Peter Reckell had already made Bo one of the soap’s most recognizable characters before Kelker-Kelly stepped into the role.

Kelker-Kelly played Bo from 1992 until 1995 and appeared in major storylines alongside Kristian Alfonso, who played Hope Brady, and Lisa Rinna, who played Billie Reed. Reckell eventually returned to the role in 1995.

The soap star received recognition for his performance. In 1994, he won a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actor. The following year, he and Rinna were named Hottest Couple for their portrayals of Bo and Billie.

Lisa Rinna’s Allegations Against Kelker-Kelly

According to TMZ, Kelker-Kelly made headlines earlier this year after Lisa Rinna wrote about their difficult working relationship in her memoir.

Rinna alleged that Kelker-Kelly was verbally abusive and manipulative while they worked together on Days of Our Lives. She also accused him of playing mind games with her behind the scenes.

Rinna further claimed that after Kelker-Kelly suddenly left the soap, NBC provided security for her and fellow actress Kristian Alfonso for several weeks.

Kelker-Kelly did not publicly respond to Rinna’s allegations.

Becoming a General Hospital Villain

Kelker-Kelly later took on a very different kind of character.

In 2001, he joined General Hospital as Stavros Cassadine, a member of the powerful and dangerous Cassadine family.

He portrayed Stavros during the early 2000s and eventually returned to the soap years later. Kelker-Kelly reprised the role in 2013 and again in 2014, introducing his work to another generation of daytime viewers.

Life After Acting

Kelker-Kelly eventually moved away from acting and pursued a career in aviation.

He became a professional aircraft pilot, turning what had been another major interest into a second career. TMZ reported that Kelker-Kelly had worked professionally as a pilot.

His personal life also included two marriages. He married actress Linda Rattner in 1988, and the couple later divorced. In 1997, he married his former Days of Our Lives costar Miriam Parrish. That marriage also ended in divorce.
