As stated by her husband, a documentary film was recently made depicting Turner’s extraordinary life – this will be the final production.

Tina Turner has been a dominant presence in the music industry for over five decades. Her passionate performances of classics like ‘Private Dancer,’ ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It,’ and ‘Proud Mary’ earned her the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll name.

Over her career, she has gathered a fantastic collection of awards and distinctions, solidifying her place as one of the finest musicians ever to grace the stage. Now 83 years old, Turner looks at her work with pride and appreciation.

One of the most legendary vocalists in contemporary history, Tina Turner, has had a tremendous career despite many personal catastrophes.

She was raised without parental guidance and lost one of her boys. Tina also experienced a lot of severe health concerns between 2013 and 2018.

In 2021, HBO will air “Tina,” an intimate portrait of the beloved artist. The film contains interviews with Tina’s husband, Erwin Bach, who says this will be one of her final public performances before retiring from the spotlight.

Tina wants to use the film to express her gratitude to all her followers worldwide for their tireless support and affection throughout the years.

Tina Turner, a well-known rock & roll artist, was born in Nutbush, Tennessee on Nov 26, 1939,

Her parents, Floyd and Zelma Bullock were sharecroppers with few resources to support their families. Despite their financial limitations, Tina recalls her upbringing with warmth and gratitude.

She described them as “well-to-do farmers” who lived more comfortably than one might think in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine.

Tina Turner grew up in Nutbush, having a secure and comfortable childhood. She and her sister were always with the necessities; they always had clean clothes and plenty of food.

Her parents were also active local church members, proving they were not lower-class residents. Tina faced challenges during her formative years, despite her supposedly ideal environment.

Turner’s mother suddenly left her when she was ten years old, and three years later, her father did the same.

Her parents’ troubled relationship had been going on for a while, and their divorce surprised her.

Even though she wasn’t very close to him, his departure marked the end of a chapter in Turner’s life.

While the pain of abandonment could have had a detrimental impact on Turner’s life, she could deal quite well because their relationship had been tested for quite some time.

When they left her life, it was almost as if they had never been there in the first place; a strange kind of detachment allowed Turner to move on without too much difficulty.

Tina Turner selected her parents because she believes the experiences they provided impacted who she is today. She hadn’t asked her sister Alline what she thought about their leave, but it could have affected her differently.

Turner moved to St. Louis as a teenager, where she was reunited with her mother and began pursuing a music career.

Tina Turner’s artistic journey began here, thanks to the production environment given by her parents.

Tina Turner embraced Saint Louis’ R&B scene as a teenager. As Tina put it, she and her mother frequently disagreed, and she became a bit of a renegade.

Tina also worked as a nurse’s aide with tiny children during her adolescence. In her own words, she desired to pursue a different path than her mother’s expectations for her: she wanted to become a professional singer.

Although she enjoyed singing and dancing as a child, it was when she was older than her ambition of being a famous singer became a reality.

Tina Turner frequented the nearby club King of Rhythm, where Rock n’ Roll icon Ike Tuner frequently performed. While the band was taking a break between gigs, their drummer placed the microphone in front of her.

Ike went over when Tina began to sing and quickly noticed she had an excellent voice that captivated everyone in the room.

Everyone flocked to hear her perform when she soon became the central attraction—her time with the band drastically altered her life, bringing her remarkable popularity and glory.

Ike Turner believed in Tina’s ability and saw her as a potential star. He recorded a tape with her as a vocalist and launched it into the record business as a producer, which they accepted.

Tina was just twenty when she began her professional singing career with a two-year-old child. Ike, on the other hand, wanted to alter her name from Anna Mae to something different.

Tina’s relationship with Ike was not something she initially desired, but she eventually realized it was meant to be. Ike had changed his identity to get control of her and their relationship, even going so far as to patent it.

Tina initially found his advances disturbing, but she eventually began to sense an emotional connection that would take her down a successful road. Without this close relationship, she believes she would not be the celebrity she is today.

Tina Turner and her then-partner Ike achieved tremendous success with the publication of A Fool In Love. The electric song rapidly beat pop charts across America, launching their first major tour, The Ike and Tina Turner Revue.

From there, the duo gained traction with more songs like It’s Going Turn Out Great and Poor Fool, further enhancing their status as performers. They eventually tied the knot with a wedding ceremony in Mexico in 1962.

When the 1970s arrived, Ike and Tina Turner’s musical careers were on the rise, but Tina wanted to do something different.

She was going through a lot personally and professionally at the time, and she wanted to write her own music. She followed through on her idea, writing the hit single Nutbush City Limits, inspired by her hometown of Nutbush.

Tina and Ike chose to divorce in 1978, thus ending their marriage. She was without money at the time, barely able to care for herself and her children, relying on food stamps and odd jobs like house cleaning to make ends meet.

Eventually, she boldly went up about the physical abuse she had endured throughout their marriage, disclosing that the divorce had left her with nothing – no money or possessions.

Tina Turner has become a legendary personality in the music industry due to her spectacular performances, which have captivated audiences worldwide.

Her electrifying presence has left an unforgettable imprint on many, from sold-out stadium tours to chart-topping classics like What’s Love Got To Do With It and Simply The Best.

Her dedication to perfection has been recognized by the industry, which has awarded her eight Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Even offstage, Turner keeps each scene in her head as a beautiful dreamscape of color, light, excitement, and beaming faces. Of course, a lot of hard work goes into every concert, from rigorous sound checks to preparations before the curtain call.

But, the exchange of energy between Turner and her audience fuels her desire to perform.

Tina Turner’s career was notable. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, decorated with three Grammy Hall of Fame Awards, and received the prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Her final tour, the immensely successful “Tina! 50th Anniversary Tour,” began in 2008.

Regrettably, Tina has had multiple life-threatening health challenges since then, forcing her to retire from the music profession.

Tina Turner suffered a stroke in 2013 and required immediate medical attention. This was followed by the devastating news that she had colon cancer and kidney failure.

As a result, she underwent surgery to remove a portion of her colon. Despite the severity of her symptoms and prognosis, the surgery was successful; however, she soon found that she would require more therapy in the form of a kidney transplant.

Tina initially kept her health issues private but later shared them in her book Tina Turner: My Love Story, published in late 2018.

Tina Turner’s kidneys failed, leaving her with an uncertain future. On the other hand, she agreed that if it was time for her to die, she could do so.

Luckily, a life-saving kidney transplant from her current husband, Erwin Bach, saved her life. They both underwent medical treatment together in the spring of 2017.

Tina Turner, the iconic singer, offered an update on her health in the form of a video on her 80th birthday. She joyfully declared that she had battled terrible illnesses and returned unhurt.

She treasured her second chance at life, giving her a renewed feeling of strength and confidence, allowing her to pursue a better life for herself.

Tina’s life story was told in the documentary “Tina” in 2021. Despite all of her trials, she discovered an inner strength that helped her overcome adversity and take charge of her destiny.

She gained the confidence to make a positive change in her life after realizing that this strength could be tapped into and strengthened.

Tina Turner’s documentary, ‘Tina,’ premiered on March 2, 2021, at the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival. Later that month, HBO released it in the United States, where it mainly received excellent reviews.

The film received an impressive 1.1 million viewers on its first day of release. However, several documentary critics said it did not fully explore Tina’s position as a mother to her four sons.

In one scenario, she frankly discusses her absence as a parent, admitting that, while she desired more time with her children, sacrificing her well-being for theirs was not an option – “I suffered, but Ike didn’t.”

She continues by saying that while this caused her enormous suffering, she knows why it had to be this way.

Tina’s husband, Erwin Bach, revealed that she wanted to use the film to say goodbye to her followers worldwide before retiring from public life.

Tina was inspired by this emotion and looked forward to showing everyone how to have a happy life when they believe in themselves.

Her career has been filled with firsts, including becoming the first female performer to succeed in the rock ‘n’ roll genre and earning countless honors throughout her decades.

Tina’s son Craig Turner and close friend Rhonda Graham were the subjects of a recent documentary.

Her husband Erwin stated before the Broadway debut of her stage musical The Tina Turner Story that it marked the end of her adventure in America.

Tina can be honored for all her fantastic music and for being an inspiring figure who has enhanced the world with her presence. Let us share this tale and remember Tina by offering her our warmest wishes!
