Clint Black will have surgery but will not perform at a Texas event.

According to a recent Midland Reporter-Telegram report, Midland, Texas’s highly anticipated Black Gold Bash, has undergone a minor lineup change.

Clint Black, the legendary ’90s singer scheduled to headline the event, has sadly canceled his appearance due to a health issue.

According to a spokeswoman for Black, the gifted singer-songwriter must undergo back treatment before returning to the stage. As a result, his recovery period will preclude him from performing at the Black Gold Bash.

Fans need not worry because a suitable replacement has already been arranged. Clay Walker, another well-known singer, has been tapped to replace Black as the event’s headliner.

The Black Gold Bash, now in its fifth year, is an annual partnership that raises funds for families working in the oilfield sector experiencing financial or medical difficulties. It has grown into a big community event, helping during difficult times.

Aside from the Black Gold Bash, Country Now reports that Black’s health troubles will affect numerous other dates on his highly anticipated Summer’s Comin’ Tour in 2023. Four events that were initially scheduled have been rescheduled.

The new dates for these performances are as follows: October 27 in Overland Park, Kansas; December 28 in Catoosa, Oklahoma; August 4 in Round Rock, Texas; and August 5 in Fort Worth, Texas, 2023.

Unfortunately, Black’s show in Abilene, Texas, scheduled for June 16, has been canceled. Fans looking forward to the start of Black’s 2023 Summer’s Comin’ Tour can mark their calendars for June 24, 2023, when the tour will begin at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Annex in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Clint Black has been entertaining fans with his Circle Network show, Talking in Circles With Clint Black, while awaiting his return to the stage.

In the meantime, fans can still enjoy Black’s compelling presence thanks to an exceptional array of brilliant artists on the stage.

Clint Black’s dedication to his followers and health remains unwavering while he undergoes back surgery.

Although the changes to the Black Gold Bash and the Summer’s Comin’ Tour may disappoint some, excitement for Black’s triumphant return and the opportunity to benefit oilfield sector families through the Bash remains high.
