Contrary to popular myth, the dog never intended to dig up a cemetery or show sorrow for a deceased owner. In actuality, she was motivated by something very else.
It turns out that this strong dog had been urgently looking for a safe sanctuary to shelter and raise her just-born brood of lovely puppies while she was living as a stray on the streets.
The canine mother found herself reflexively digging a hole in the graveyard as she felt dizzy and burdened by parenthood. Her maternal instincts compelled her to seek shelter and protection for her defenseless babies.
Fate interfered in this search for safety, bringing Vesna Mihajloski to see the dog’s predicament firsthand.
Vesna provided the dog food and water out of compassion, understanding that she immediately needed both. After gradually earning the dog’s confidence, Vesna set out on a mission to create a safe and nurturing environment for the entire family.
