Laura Ingraham was born on June 19, 1963, in Glastonbury, Connecticut, into a working-class family. Her father, James Frederick Ingraham III, was a World War II veteran and owned a carwash, while her mother, Anne Caroline Kozak, worked at the local school and as a waitress. Growing up with three older brothers, Laura describes her childhood as “rough and tumble.”
After graduating from Glastonbury High School in 1981, Laura attended the private University of Dartmouth in New Hampshire.
